Spy Mission: Wedding Papercraft

When it comes to weddings, there's nothing better than adding your own personal touch to the festivities - and what better way to do it than with some papercraft? No longer for arts & crafts nerds, papercrafts are available in every shape and size, ranging from the adorable to the downright bizarre.

So when it comes to weddings and papercrafts, how best to marry (pun very much intended!) the two together? The internet is brimming with inspiration and downloadable templates that you can use to give your big day that unique touch.

Here, we have a selection of inspirational ideas. Ladies, scissors and glue-sticks at the ready!

The Canon webpage has some easy-to-make papercraft projects, including these adorable Cupid ones. These cuties could actually could do double duty for Valentine's Day, but there's nothing that says wedded bliss quite like Cupid himself, armed with hearts and arrows. ^~^

This cute papercraft bride and groom would make a lovely addition as a cake topper, perhaps!

If you're keen to extend the crafty theme a little more, why not DIY your own table settings and decor? There are plenty of downloadable templates online, including this nifty tutorial for making your own papercraft lanterns by Martha Stewart. You can even customise your placemats by downloading these vintage placemat designs - much more interesting than staring at a boring old tablecloth!

How about giving your guests something dinky to take their wedding favours home in? Your prayers are answered with VIVa Artistry's DIY Chinese Takeaway Box. It's technically for Chinese New Year, but these are easily customisable to make chic boxes to house wedding favours.

If you've got extra-crafty fingers, making your own bouquet and table centerpieces would save you a bundle! Check out this beautiful tutorial for making your own papercraft giant rose bouquet, which is sure to make an impression!

Last but not least, I wasn't able to find a tutorial for this (because frankly, it looks a bit tough!), but here's a gorgeous papercraft wedding cake - some inspiration right?

Happy Crafting!

    1. Thanks Denise! I don't think the cake is a feasible option, but I think the other suggestions are great to add a personal touch to any occasion :3

We'll have a go at putting a papercraft model together one day, just to see how difficult / easy it really is!
